Nelspruit Methodist Church

OUR CIRCUIT & SOCIETY

The Nelspruit Society, together with the White River, Kiepersol, Kanyamazane and Kobokweni, form the Greater Nelspruit Circuit. That Circuit forms part of the Limpopo District with the Rev Gavin Taylor as the District Bishop. The 12 Districts form the Connexion of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa with the Rev Ivan Abrahams as the Presiding Bishop.

The Nelspruit Society is ministered to by the Rev Don Williams and Rev Allan Booth. The Society is managed by the Church Council that meets regularly and an Executive that comprises the Ministerial Staff, Circuit Steward and up to nine Society Stewards.

SOCIETY STEWARDS

The Society Stewards are the Executive Officers of the Church and they take a leading role in the overall running of the church and are the eyes and ears of the congregation. Society Stewards are elected annually by the congregation at the Annual General Meeting.  For 2011 our Society Stewards are John Broodryk, Natalie Collins, Nadine Golding, Shirley Greaver, Geraldine Phelan , Mary Schatz, Roy Smit and Roy Wakefiled.
